Context

Bouygues Bâtiment Nord-Est, is a regional subsidiary of the Bouygues Construction Group and counts 950 employees in northeast France and Belgium. For European Sustainable Development Week, BBNE wanted to involve all of its employees.

This is because sustainable development concerns all of us, whether in our consumer choices, our travel or our professional activities

Objectives

The goal was to communicate the message that we are all able to act on sustainable development, which we should use as an opportunity to discover new ways of doing things that are more protective of the environment and include a social and ethical aspect.

With respect to sustainable construction, this week was the occasion to organize friendly encounters among co-workers and with our customers and partners.

APPROACH

The first step was to build a group of volunteer employees to deploy a shared company-wide action. A homogeneous program was established together and scheduled to be deployed at all company sites.

The week was also an opportunity to organize several events. On the sites of Lille, Nancy and Strasbourg, clothing drives were launched for associations, local products were sampled and blood donations were made; there was a sustainable development quiz and a photo contest, as well as an eco-materials showroom in Strasbourg and lectures on the topics of 3D printing and sustainable construction on the Lille and Nancy sites.
