For the Bonduelle Group, creating a better future for plant-based food means being an agro-industrial player that has a positive impact on its ecosystem. A French family-owned business created in 1853, in 2016 Bonduelle launched the "Working Together” approach, in order to involve the Group’s 11,000 employees in the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility.

APPROACH
In 2016, the Bonduelle Group set itself the objective of involving all its employees in its CSR approach, i.e. approximately 11,000 people.
Several types of workshop, the methodology of which was co-created with Corporate for Change, were tested over three years to raise employees’ awareness and make them stakeholders. The first step consists of inspiring employees on CSR topics in connection with the company’s activities and explaining Bonduelle’s major commitments. Then, the Group needs to think about what is already in place and works, and what deserves to be improved. Finally, the last stage is brainstorming and moving on to collective action. The #Tomorrow at Bonduelle program supports project leaders remotely.
With more than 70% of its workforce in plants, it was important for Bonduelle to conduct these workshops at its industrial sites. Capitalizing on campaign launch days or safety days, workshops were organized in order to raise the awareness of all permanent staff in the plants and get them to think about the projects they wish to put in place.
More than 2,000 people were able to benefit from these workshops, including 1,600 in plants, mainly in France and Canada.
To continue the approach, the workshops will be duplicated in other group plants, and the impact of these sessions on the company’s societal transformation will be measured.
