CUEILLETTE URBAINE: vegetable gardens in companies or how to combine responsible practices and social links

4. Environment

Context

Cueillette Urbaine is an innovative concept that fits in with current issues of urbanisation, responsible consumption and resource management.

Cueillette Urbaine positions itself as a roof operator with the aim of setting up urban farms and vegetable gardens. This is achieved through different offers: participative company vegetable gardens, multifunctional urban farms and team building type workshops. société́ is therefore part of an "ultra-short" circuit for "ultra-fresh" products.

Objectives

  • Promoting healthier and local food

  • Participates in the clean-up of the city

  • Creating social links between citizens

  • To provide city dwellers with a more pleasant living environment by improving their health, diet, landscape, places of work and meeting places

APPROACH

Setting up a vegetable garden in a company requires several steps to make it a real success.

The definition of the role of the vegetable garden: Why does the customer want a vegetable garden? Who is it for? To do what with it? For Cueillette Urbaine, it is a question of identifying the client's needs in order to concoct a tailor-made project that will best respond to their problems.
The technical details: Cueillette Urbaine then takes stock of the spaces the client owns, looking for a roof, a terrace, a grassed area or an unused yard in order to give it a new use. The start-up analyses the land, always with the idea of offering the client a personalised offer.
The choice of technique: Once these details have been analysed, she assists her client in choosing the most suitable urban farming techniques (aeroponics, aquaponics, cultivation in tanks, etc.).
The choice of an adapted formula: Always with the idea of a tailor-made offer, Cueillette Urbaine offers additional services such as the maintenance and harvesting of the vegetable garden, the training of employees to carry out this activity themselves or even team building workshops around their vegetable garden.
Implementation: Once all these parameters have been defined, the project will be installed and the first seedlings will mark the inauguration of a new company vegetable garden.
